The Wapiti Herd |

The Wapiti herd consists of quality Huacaya alpacas. Huacaya is a breed with fuzzy fiber that grows straight out from the body. Suri, the only other breed, grows long, curly fiber that hangs from their bodies. Our Huacaya dams are from two to six years of age. They are mostly white, but some have gray, black, fawn and brown. The dams are bred to predominately white, champion herd sires. Our goal is to breed animals with fine fiber. We currently have both males and females for sale.
